Mother’s Day plans on the Northern Beaches? Canguaru readers can still unlock a ticket discount for this Saturday.

Projeto Cria do Samba & Between Us Band are taking over Time & Tide in Dee Why on Saturday, 9 May, with live music, samba, food, drinks and a family friendly afternoon made for the whole community.

Between Us opens the day with a feel good mix of Brazilian flavour, R&B, funk, blues and rock.

Then Projeto Cria do Samba brings the roda de samba energy, with the sing along moments, percussion, joy and warm community vibe they are known for.

Rapunzel Afro Hair will also be part of the experience, celebrating braids, beauty and confidence on the day.

The venue will have food platters and bar taps available, plus a kids playground and jumping castle, making it easier for families to settle in and enjoy the afternoon too.
