Latin Makers Market brings Latin culture to Marrickville this weekend

The Latin Makers Market - Winter Edition is happening this Saturday and Sunday at Marrickville Town Hall, bringing together Latin American makers, artists, small businesses, food vendors, music, dance and community.

It is a free entry market, with handmade products, accessories, homewares, art, sweets, food stalls and cultural activities across the weekend.

Brazilian acts are part of the program across both days. On Saturday, the weekend includes a Brazilian bateria and samba presentation. Then on Sunday, DaRua Lab brings a dance presentation and Samba de Moça brings samba energy to the market.

Expect a warm winter market with colour, rhythm, food, art and that familiar Latin atmosphere that feels more like a community gathering than just shopping.

Where to watch Brazil with Brazilian energy

Brazil’s first World Cup match is this Sunday morning, and yes, plenty of pubs and venues around Australia will probably show the game.

But not every screening has that Brazilian-organised energy.

That is why Canguaru started putting together a Brazil World Cup 2026 Watch Parties in Australia guide, focused mostly on Brazilian-organised events or Brazilian-owned venues where people are more likely to find Brazilian food, snacks, drinks, music, specials, flags, community and that emotional match-day atmosphere.

The first match is:

🇧🇷 Brazil x Morocco
📅 Sunday, 14 June 2026
8:00am AEST

There are watch parties already listed across NSW, QLD, VIC and SA, including Sydney, Marrickville, Allambie Heights, Seven Hills, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Richmond, Southbank, Adelaide and more.

So if you are trying to avoid the random silent pub TV in the corner, check the guide first.

🌽 Festa Junina in Australia 🌽

8 more Festa Junina parties added to the guide

The Festa Junina in Australia guide has been updated with 8 more parties added across the country.

Canguaru is tracking arraiás, São João parties, Brazilian winter festivals, food stalls, forró, baião, sertanejo, family days and community events by state, city and date, so people do not need to dig through scattered Instagram posts to plan the season.
