Bahia Cafe & Restaurant is evolving into a new concept in Bondi NSW.

Chef Taty Albano is bringing contemporary Brazilian cuisine to 227 Bondi Rd, blending Bahian tradition with a more contemporary approach while keeping its roots.

The official grand opening is set for 28 February.

Expect Bahian favourites like moqueca and acarajé, plus seafood dishes and new plates designed for the Bondi vibe.

One Last Weekend at Kitanda

Kitanda Bevs & Bites in Darlinghurst is closing its doors, with a farewell gathering this Sunday.

The team is marking the moment with food, friends and live Brazilian music, including Maitê Inaê, Marcello Maio and guests.

For many in Sydney, Kitanda became a regular spot for Brazilian tapas, choro nights and long afternoons that felt a bit like home.

Divino Samba collective in Sydney

Divino Samba is warming up Carnaval season this Saturday at Casa do Benfica in Marrickville NSW.

Expect a samba circle with live percussion and chorus, Malandrinho do Samba bringing a high energy stage performance, and DJ Penguin keeping the mood going between sets.

Cold beers, big rhythms, and that feeling of a little slice of Brazil in Sydney.
